Engineered For Durability. Manufactured With Precision.

The Bigfoot PV01 portable vise wasn't just another product, it was the beginning of the Pipe Vise story.

Born from the frustrations of real licensed tradesmen working in the field, the Bigfoot answered a problem no other tool could solve: how do you safely assemble and break down threaded fittings in the field without dragging around a full tripod vise?

Pipe Vise Bigfoot wide base and rubber feet

Built from the Ground Up

Before the Bigfoot, technicians would balance two pipe wrenches against each other to muscle fittings apart; a practice that’s both inefficient and unsafe. Without time or space to set up heavy tripod vises, they had no portable, field ready solution.

Pipe Vise Bigfoot wide base and rubber feet

The Bigfoot was designed to change that.

It starts with a wide, stable base that allows technicians to focus torque into the work without risking slippage or tipping. The base is paired with non-marring, non-slip rubber feet, so whether you're working on finished flooring, decking, or raw concrete, the Bigfoot stays in place.

Patent Pending Grip, Real-World Versatility

At the heart of the Bigfoot is Pipe Vise’s patent pending double-V jaw design. Spring-loaded and built from forged steel, these jaws grip parts from 1/8” up to 1.5” in diameter, making it suitable for threaded pipe, fittings, valves, and small structural elements common in steamfitting, mechanical, and plumbing applications.

The double V-shape cradles round parts securely without crushing or slipping. It’s an intuitive upgrade from traditional vise jaws, inspired by real-world jobsite experience.

Forged to Endure Industrial Abuse

Field tools live hard lives. That’s why the Bigfoot features a steel chassis and forged steel jaws, each component precision-machined using proprietary blends and manufacturing techniques. Much like a pocket knife, edge retention of teeth is extremely important. Pipe Vise jaws are engineered to withstand years of daily abuse in the harshest of industrial conditions.

Whether it's being used on oilfield rigs, in fabrication yards, or in boiler crawlspaces, the Bigfoot was made for heavy-duty trades that can't afford broken gear. With that said, we understand things happen, and tools can wear out. That is why we designed the Bigfoot to be fully rebuildable. We stock all replacement parts from jaws and springs to clips and pins right here in our Houston, TX facility. With expedited shipping options, our customer support team can get ensure your operation has the parts needed to keep you up and running.
